Mint No. 9, a deceivingly simple blend, required two years of development. Blending wintergreen, peppermint, spearmint, sweet fennel and additional essential oils, it has a well balanced character. And it was worth the effort - this recipe has not changed and is still one of the most robust and long lasting blends.
Mint - derived from mintha (Greek) - is the common name for a genus of herbaceous plant (mentha), known for its aromatic leaves, sweet flavour and cool after taste. Used in savoury desserts, teas or on meats in British and Middle Eastern cuisine, the plant is seemingly ubiquitous in its culinary reach.
Originally used to treat stomach and chest pain, it’s medical attributes now include decongestant and digestive aid.
